This 53-minute film profiles seven adults and two children, real patients in actual treatment sessions, as they undergo medical orgone therapy, the drug-free mind-body treatment developed by Wilhelm Reich, M.D.
Viewers are introduced to the theory, practice and potential benefits of a form of psychotherapy practiced worldwide by a growing number of psychiatrists Reich, discovered that traumatic experiences from infancy and early childhood, while often lost from memory, remain locked deep within us—not just in the mind but also within the physical structure of the body.
Treatment brings about the release of long pent-up emotions and provides a great sense of relief, such that patients regularly report they feel freer in their bodies more able to lead satisfying and fulfilling lives. Patients who suffer from disabling symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, are often able to recover.
PARENTAL DISCRETION IS ADVISED, as there is discussion of natural sexuality and because of the emotional intensity of the film.
